Join the Council of Canadians in acting for social justice

As we celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Council of Canadians in 2010, we will be working hard on the issues that matter to you: protecting our fresh water and the environment, strengthening public health care, advocating for sustainable energy policies, promoting fair trade and safeguarding the values that make us distinctly Canadian.

When you make a donation you become a member of one of the most effective social justice organizations in the country.

Ways to donate

Join our monthly giving program
By becoming a monthly contributor through our Canada Plan, you provide us with a predictable source of income that allows us to more effectively plan ahead for the future. You will receive a free subscription to our lively and informative magazine, Canadian Perspectives.

Make a single gift
Become a part of the fight for a better Canada. Gifts can be made in any amount. For your gift of $45 or more you will receive a free subscription to our lively and informative magazine, Canadian Perspectives.

Make a leadership level donation
If you're able to make an especially generous donation of $500 or more (or $40 per month or more) you will become a member of the Council's Citizens' Agenda Fund. You will receive complimentary research reports, personal invitations to meetings and events in your area, and signed books from Maude Barlow, the Council’s National Chairperson.

Give the gift of social and environmental justice
Celebrate a birthday, anniversary or other important event in the life of a family member or friend with a gift membership. You’ll be making them a part of growing movement of people working for the values, social programs and progressive policies that Canadians believe in. A handwritten card will be sent to acknowledge your gift, along with our magazine, Canadian Perspectives, and recent reports or campaign materials.

Make a gift in memory of a loved one or friend
Making a gift in memory of a family member, friend or colleague is a thoughtful way to acknowledge the passing of a loved one. A personalized card will be sent on your behalf to acknowledge your gift.

We Value Your Support

The Council of Canadians is a non-profit organization. In order to maintain our independence to speak out on the issues you believe in, we do not accept government or corporate funding. As a membership-based organization we rely on generous individuals like you to run our vital campaigns.

Thank you for your generous support!
