Petition: Strengthen the Net-Zero Emissions Accountability Act

The Net-Zero Emissions Accountability Act is unlikely to get us to net-zero emissions without some substantial changes.

One of our demands has been to ban fossil fuel executives and lobbyists from the climate advisory panel – and we got this! On February 25, the government announced its advisory panel and it doesn’t include any Big Oil reps.

On May 4, C-12 passed second reading. Another good step but the bill needs to be improved and then passed before it can drive climate action.

Our collective work is having an impact – now let’s keep up the pressure and make the other necessary changes to this bill!
