The Canadian Biotechnology Action Network tells us that, “On March 3, 2011, Liberal members of the House of Commons Agriculture Committee tabled a motion calling for a moratorium on the approval of genetically modified (GM) alfalfa in Canada. …The Committee needs to put the motion to the top of the list and vote ‘yes’ at their meeting on March 10th. The NDP and Bloc both support the motion, the Liberals need to act to make sure their motion is more than words, and the Conservatives need to support the moratorium.”
To simply click and have a letter sent to individual members of the Committee, please go to http://www.cban.ca/Resources/Topics/GE-Crops-and-Foods-Not-on-the-Market/Alfalfa today.
