Some were local and other activists came from as far as Inverness (Cape Breton, NS) and Saint John NB. Given the short notice, the level of commitment and determination is so inspiring!!

The purpose of today’s workshop was to educate, empower and inspire activists. Knowing your rights and techniques for strategic planning and effective actions were some of the topics covered, including recognizing where the opportunities exist.

Momentum and interest in direct action in the region exists, and I’m sure we’ll continue to have more trainings, in particular in relation to shale gas and fracking, until we are successful in protecting our communities!!
