It is with some sadness, but a lot of excitement that I’m sharing a personal update. As of today I will be on leave for a year. The very talented and capable Maryam Adrangi (previously the Ontario Quebec organizing assistant) with be the energy and climate justice campaigner for the coming year.
Maryam will be working out of our Vancouver office, focused primarily on our No Pipelines! No Tankers! campaign. There are lots of important and exciting actions on the horizon that Maryam will be sharing more about in the coming months, such as a pipelines community mobilizing tour. Maryam will also be working on other campaign areas such as www.systemchange.ca updates, countering Canadian lobbying against the EU Fuel Quality Directive, opposing fracking and offshore drilling in the Gulf of St Lawrence and tracking UN climate negotiations.
In the meantime I will be spending the year on maternity leave, helping to fill the ranks of our growing movement for social justice.
