Ontario environment commissioner Gord Miller’s annual report was tabled in the Ontario Legislature on Tuesday.
It references the need to address the Lake Simcoe watershed, calls for the immediate closing of the Richmond Landfill near Napanee due to its impact on local groundwater, highlights the damage of sand and gravel extraction on aquifers, and notes concerns about a housing development on protected wetlands near Ottawa.
