Council of Canadians honorary chairperson Maude Barlow received a BresciaLEAD Lifetime Award from Brescia University College in London, Ontario this evening!
@BresciaUC tweeted Barlow saying:
– “Our planet is hurting, so we desperately need the leadership of everyone, but especially women.”
– ” …fighting for social justice is like taking a bath, you do it every day or you stink.”
And it retweeted Jane Antoniak’s tweet of Barlow saying:
– “It’s not about getting power or half the piece of the pie. It’s about the getting the ingredients needed to transform the world”
Previously, their media release had noted, “The Lifetime Award will be presented to Maude Barlow who has demonstrated exceptional leadership throughout her lifetime.
