Hello, I just got back from the Canada Post picket lines. I want to ask you to stand in solidarity with us and help end the strike:
Can you take 2 minutes to email your Member of Parliament? Take action here »
Right now postal workers like myself are on rotating strikes.
My union, the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW), started job actions in October in an effort to get Canada Post to negotiate a fair collective agreement.
We are standing up for:
-
Good jobs and services in our communities. -
Improved health and safety. -
Equal rights for women. -
We’re also pushing for expanded services, like postal banking.
Here’s how you can help:
Email your Member of Parliament and the CEO of Canada Post. Tell them that you support postal workers!
Postal Workers have a long history of winning gains in collective bargaining that have benefitted all workers — like in 1981 when we went on strike and made paid maternity leave the norm in Canada.
We need you to tell the government and Canada Post that you support CUPW’s demands for better jobs, a better postal service and to negotiate a good collective agreement now.
Stand with postal workers: http://
In solidarity,
Ellen Bowles
