NEWS: Quinte West may become blue community, May 21

Quinte News reports, “Robyn Hamlin is looking to turn Quinte West blue. The 14 year old from Kingston, has been touring across the province since June 2011, trying to convert municipalities into Blue Communities. …Hamlin says our planet’s water sources are rapidly depleting and the response she’s received across Ontario has been astounding. Quinte West Council will look further into the idea at its meeting on May 21st.”

Quinte West is a city located on Lake Ontario, about 175 kilometres east of Toronto. The city was formed through the amalgamation of the city of Trenton, the village of Frankford and the townships of Murray and Sidney.
