Ontario: Have you voted yet?

Informed and engaged voters are essential to our democracy. Thank you for doing your part!

Today is Election Day in Ontario.

As a Council of Canadians supporter we know that you take meaningful action throughout the year to build a better Ontario and Canada. But today we need you to take the simple – and vital – step of casting your ballot.

This election is incredibly important and is absolutely one where every vote will count – the latest polls suggest the Ontario NDP is running neck and neck with Doug Ford’s Conservatives. If you haven’t already, please head to your polling station and vote.

Elections Ontario polls are open today – Thursday, June 7 – from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Your employer must grant up to three hours off work without penalty if your work schedule does not otherwise allow you three consecutive hours to vote while the polls are open. Learn more about your rights as a voter here.

To find your Election Day voting location click here and enter your postal code.

You need to prove your identity and current address in order to vote. You can use a single piece of government-issued I.D. that has both a photo and address (a drivers’ licence, for example) or a combination of one piece of I.D. that provides your name plus a separate proof of address such as your Voter Information Card, a bank statement or utility bill, or many other options. Info on I.D. requirements here.
