Tiny Township asks Premier for 1-year moratorium on Site 41

The Barrie Examiner and the Midland Free Press report that, “Tiny Township Council is asking Premier Dalton McGuinty to declare a one-year moratorium on construction at dump Site 41.”

“A motion by Deputy Mayor George Lawrence and Coun. Andre Claire asking the Premier to act was unanimously supported at Monday’s council meeting.”

“The moratorium request comes after the company hired by Simcoe County refused to release data in compliance of an order by the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario.”
