Council of Canadians national chairperson Maude Barlow is featured on the back-page of the June 2009 issue of Zoomer magazine.
Zoomer was launched this fall and has a paid circulation of approximately 190,000 readers, a further 50,000 copies are available on newsstands. As such, it has a total paid circulation of approximately 225,000 people.
In the article Maude says, “Water is the oil of the 21st century. We are running out of clean water. Places that have it are going to be looked to, to supply the rest of the world. Canada has water, so we have a greater responsibility to take care of this great heritage and pass it on. It’s not Canadian water versus US water. It’s ecosystem water.”
The feature is not yet available on-line, but the magazine’s website is http://www.zoomermag.com/.
Congratulations Maude!
