  • Calling for a Site C Review for Wood Buffalo National Park: The NWT chapter, the Slave River Coalition, and Wendy Holm, our guest on the “Damming the Peace” Tour, have been calling for a review of the impacts of the proposed Site C dam on Wood Buffalo National Park. It is the only recommendation of the UNESCO review on the park's endangered status as a World Heritage Site that Parks Canada did not include in their Draft Action Plan for the park. Thanks to their work, the comment period on the plan got extended by four days and thousands of responses were sent in calling for a Site C review to be included.
  • Photo essay: Faces of offshore resistanceWhy is offshore drilling not worth the risk? Who carries these risks? Who is fighting back against the offshore industry? This photo series highlights a number of community activists fighting to protect their homes, coastal communities, fisheries, tourism, and cultural history from the harms of offshore drilling.
