Since its inception, the Council of Canadians has built its strength and credibility with powerful grassroots activists in communities across Canada. Chapter members work tirelessly, with abounding energy and help build the kind of Canada WE want! In their communities chapters promote our local, provincial and national campaigns, act as local watchdogs, and promote social and economic justice on a day-to-day basis.
To find out more, contact the chapter listed below and get in touch with the regional office closest to you. If you are interested in starting a chapter in your community, click here to read more and be in touch with one of our regional organizers.
We have a broad base of activists working on issues across Canada, so if you don’t see your community, please contact us and we will try to put you in touch with other engaged people in your region.

Jobs – Justice – Climate Action: Just Transition Now!
The South Shore Chapter of the Council of Canadians hosted a lively theatrical event imagining the many environmental, social, and economic gains that could be made as we transition to a low-carbon future. Characters from an imagined future speak briefly about carbon reduction, green jobs, affordable housing, public transit and poverty reduction.
The Council of Canadians and 350.org joined forces to organize a nation-wide Day of Action on March 12, 2022, calling attention to the federal government’s three-year-old, as yet unfulfilled promise to pass a Just Transition Act.
