The South Shore Chapter of the Council of Canadians is pleased to welcome Mark Coffin, Executive Director of Springtide Collective as our guest on Friday, November 22nd 7pm at the Mahone Bay Centre. He will lead a discussion around the theme: “The Ballots Have Been Counted: What Now?”
Before the 2019 election, we heard from pundits and analysts, from neighbours and party campaigners that this election would be our last chance to address the climate crisis.
We are inviting you to join us one month after the election to have a conversation with Mark Coffin. Mark is a writer, educator and digital content creator. In 2012 he founded Springtide Collective and has served as the organization’s Executive Director since that time. At Springtide, Mark hosts podcasts, teaches programs, curates educational programming, and leads consulting projects for clients of Springtide. Mark splits his time between Springtide, and his own consulting business.
Here are some things we’ve been thinking about, but we really want you to bring your own questions:
- What are the implications for the climate crisis of a Trudeau-led minority government?
- How can we fix our broken electoral system?
Admission is free and everyone is welcome to attend.
