Moncton: Chapter Annual General Meeting

Thursday, July 25, 2019 - 19:00

Please join the Moncton Chapter for it's annual general meeting on Thursday, July 25 from 7:00-9:00 p.m.

Sobeys Community Room, 55 Vaughan Harvey Blvd, Moncton, NB (Map)

As you know, the Greater Moncton Area and New Brunswick has no shortage of issues to tackle. The approval of extending the public-private partnership (P3) with Veolia for managing the water treatment plant at Turtle Creek, the opening last year of a for-profit blood products (plasma) clinic, and the partial lifting of the fracking/shale gas moratorium not far from here are just a few examples.

Being actively connected to a larger organization gives us a say over the direction our campaigns take and what materials are available, ensures our local issues get more visibility, allows us to access chapter funding, and gives us access to other resources like regional and national meetings, webinars, and access to a network of others who share our values and may be fighting the same fights in their communities.

Please come to the AGM on Thursday July 25 at 7 p.m.! If you’re interested in being part of the chapter but can’t make it to the AGM, please let the chapter know at cocmoncton { @ } gmail.com. We’re small but mighty and as you know, more hands make for lighter work.
