National Day of Action for a New Health Accord

Monday, March 31, 2014 - 15:30

The Harper government has been emptying public coffers through tax cuts and giveaways to corporations, while claiming that there is no money for needed public programs like Employment Insurance or Public Medicare.

He has put these programs at risk.

But his success relies upon lack of public awareness about his plans.

On March 31st, the 10-Year National Health Accord comes to an end. The Harper government refuses to renew or renegotiate it.

It is time we ratchet up the campaign to show Canadians how the Harper government is cutting health care and shirking responsivilities. On March 31st, people across Canada will hold rallies and press conferences to sound the alarm about Harper's planned $36 billion cut to health care and the loss of the Health Accord.
