UPDATE: Shrybman and Salutin to speak in Hamilton, May 14

The Hamilton Spectator notes, “It’s Time to Take Back Our Democracy will be hosted by the Hamilton Chapter of the Council of Canadians on Tuesday, May 14 at 7 p.m. at First Unitarian Church, 170 Dundurn St. S.

Speakers include freelance journalist Rick Salutin, and public interest lawyer and Council of Canadians board member Steven Shrybman.”

Wave.fm adds, “Mr. Shrybman will share an update on the election fraud legal challenges that seek to overturn 2011 federal election results in seven ridings. Mr. Salutin has written extensively on issues of democracy and will speak about the current state of democracy in Canada.

 …(The Council of Canadians Hamilton chapter is) offering this community forum in partnership with a group of Hamilton organizations committed to fostering public engagement and more direct public involvement in the democratic process.”

The Facebook event page notes, “The event is free but we will be collecting donations for the Council of Canadians Democracy 24-7 Legal Fund.”
