Congratulations to Elysia Petrone of the Council of Canadians Hamilton chapter for receiving an ‘Award of Merit’ from the Hamilton Environmentalist of the Year Awards Committee.
CBC reports, “Elysia Petrone is being recognized for her efforts and leadership skills on a number of environmental issues in Hamilton, including the Hamilton 350 Committee on climate change, the ‘System Change not Climate Change’ caucus of the Hamilton chapter of the Council of Canadians, and a multi-group committee responding to federal omnibus bills.”
The article notes, “The awards will be presented at the 34th annual Environmentalists of the Year Awards dinner on June 5…”
