‘Water on the Table’, featuring Maude Barlow

“Water On The Table is a character-driven, poetic, social-issue documentary that explores Canada’s relationship to its freshwater, arguably its most precious natural resource.”

“Water On The Table features Maude Barlow who is considered an ‘international water-warrior’ for her crusade against the privatisation of water. She believes that Canada has a special responsibility to steward its freshwater and set an example for the rest of the world. She is especially concerned with the escalating pressure to export bulk water to the United States. Barlow was recently appointed as the first U.N. Senior Advisor on Water by Miguel d’Escoto Brockmann, President of the 63rd Session of the United Nations.”

“Water On The Table is produced in association with TVO…Stay tuned for updates and for the broadcast premier in March 2010.”

Water on The Table is a Liz Marshall film. Chapter activists may remember her and her sound person Jason Milligan from our annual general meeting in Edmonton.
