Building our movements to
UNITE FOR THE CANADA WE WANT
Soaring prices. Unaffordable housing. A crumbling health care system…
Devastating floods and wildfires. While our communities bear the brunt of multiplying crises, Canada’s billionaires have grown richer.
Pierre Poilievre and the Conservatives have tapped into people’s frustrations with the status quo, fanning the flames of division while they serve the corporate class. Canada could find itself with one of the most radical, hard-right governments in its history following the next federal election.
But this doesn’t have to be our future.

The current crises are rooted in corporate greed
More and more people are waking up to the idea that corporate greed is at the roots of the current intersecting crises. Oil and gas companies, health care profiteers, grocery giants, and developers and corporate landlords are making record profits and shaping public policies.
People are angry and disillusioned by the status quo
Poilievre and other right-wing politicians are presenting themselves as anti-establishment champions of ordinary people fighting against a corrupt establishment, despite the reality that they plan to further cut corporate taxes and other back-scratching measures. Meanwhile, political parties are failing to offer serious solutions to the crises we face.
What we need to do to win the Canada we want
A Poilievre majority is not inevitable, but we can’t sit back and wait for a politician to come along and save us. We need to get organized and go out into our communities to sound the alarm now about the dangers of a Poilievre government.
We also need to think beyond election day. No matter who forms the next federal government, the best hope we have for real solutions to the crises we face is large numbers of organized people demanding an end to corporate control of our lives.
kitchen table conversations
More important than ever, we must come together to unpack the compounding crises we are facing, understand their root causes, and discuss the path forward. As people who are deeply concerned about the threat a Poilievre government would pose for the cost of living, climate action, public health care, and democracy, we must first get aligned on our political analysis and the work ahead.
Hosting a small group discussion on the political moment and what we can do together, sometimes called a kitchen table conversation, is one way to get started on that journey. We have developed a facilitation guide and discussion package to get you started, and trainings are being rolled out in the coming weeks. We must build a movement strong enough to change the political climate, whoever is in office, and that work begins right here in your kitchen, one conversation at a time.
Did you attending or host a small group kitchen table conversation? Tell us your thoughts!
