CETA, tar sands and the UK – my guest blog in Ethical Consumer magazine

I have a guest blog post today in the UK-based Ethical Consumer magazine. It argues the Harper government sees a Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) with the European Union as another way to undermine climate and environmental policy in Europe while attracting new investment to the tar sands. Public interest and trade lawyer Steven Shrybman described how CETA will achieve this in a 2010 legal briefing for the Council of Canadians, Indigenous Environmental Network and Friends of the Earth Europe, which you can read here.
