Over 100 communities across Canada came together this weekend to defend our planet from reckless pipelines, tarsands, fracking, crude by rail and the other forms of disastrous extreme energy.
In Toronto, it is estimated over 1500 people participated in the rally and march demanding a stop to Line 9, tarsands expansion, crude by rail, and extreme energy.

Across the Ontario and Quebec region, over 30 communities took part in actions. Council of Canadians members joined with our allies across the provinces to defend out communities and demand a future that puts the climate ahead of corporate interests.
