The Council of Canadians Comox Valley chapter held an “Oh Canada! Team Trivia Night” fundraiser on June 11.
Chapter activist Kathie Woodley notes, “This was a fun-filled community event that tested everyone’s knowledge on Canada’s rich arts, cultural and social history.”
Quiz Master Andrew Black posed 60 questions to the 144 people gathered at the Florence Filberg Centre for this event.
A blog by the chapter highlights, “All the generous donations [by local merchants for trivia prizes] help make it possible for the chapter to continue the work in our community to stand up for democracy and our common Canadian values. The chapter was pleased that with the proceeds from the 50/50 draw they were able to donate $262 to AIDS Vancouver Island – Comox Valley.”
