BACKGROUND ABOUT THE TRANS-PACIFIC PARTNERSHIP

The TPP is already negotiated between Canada, Australia, Brunei Darussalam, Chile, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore, the United States, Vietnam, and starting in July, Japan – which together cover approximately 40% of the global economy. However other Pacific Rim countries can join over time.
