ENERGY BLOG: Council of Canadians participation in Oct.24 International Day of Climate Action

On October 24, people in 181 countries came together for over 5200 events in the most widespread day of environmental action in the planet’s history.

People united globally calling on world leaders for a strong and effective global agreement coming out of negotiations in Copenhagen this December, that responds to what science says is necessary to address the climate crisis.

The Council of Canadians joined millions of others taking action on October 24.

In Saint John New Brunswick, the Council of Canadians joined local residents and organizations in hosting Climate (of) Change: rally for people and the planet as part of our AGM held in Saint John the same weekend, Turning the Tide: A Just Economy for People and the Planet. ml
