EVENT: Grewal on ‘who are the 99%’, Vancouver, Nov. 25

A free public forum – ‘Who are the 99%: The Occupy Together Movement’ – will be held on Friday November 25 at 6 pm at the Vancouver Public Library (Alice MacKay Room). It will discuss the global Occupy Together movement and tackling issues of systemic inequality, environmental destruction, and government and corporate power.


The forum features Harjap Grewal (Council of Canadians regional organizer), Seth Klein (Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives-BC Office director), Richard Porteous (Occupy Vancouver), Lorene Oikawa (BC Federation of Labour Human Rights Committee chair), Glen Coulthard (UBC political science professor), and Jean Swanson (Carnegie Community Action Project coordinator).

The forum has been endorsed by The Council of Canadians, the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives, Rabble.ca, No One Is Illegal, Check Your Head, Streams of Justice, the Citywide Housing Coalition, and Calamites.
