The Grand Forks Gazette reports that, “(BC Southern Interior) MP Alex Atamanenko is sounding the alarm about a recent free trade agreement with Europe proposed by the federal government.”
“Atamanenko says the (Canada-European Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement) will be a bad one for Canada because it takes away control from governments to decide who gets to bid on contracts and could see Canadian jobs go to European workers. …Atamanenko said problems with other free trade and labour mobility agreements like the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and the Trade Industry and Labour Mobility Agreement (TILMA) between B.C. and Alberta are already apparent.”
