NEWS: Barlow, Moist speak to 300 on CETA in Moncton

CBC Radio in the Maritimes reports that more than 300 people turned out to hear Council of Canadians chairperson Maude Barlow, CUPE president Paul Moist, and local Labour Council vice-president Ken Thompson speak on the Canada-European Union free trade agreement in Moncton this past Saturday.

CUPE secretary-treasurer Claude Genereux was also present and was interviewed by Radio Canada TV.

The Council of Canadians will be seeking a follow-up on the Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement in the Moncton Times & Transcript newspaper.

Public forums on CETA have also been confirmed for Hamilton (September 27), Windsor (September 28), Abbotsford (October 11), Vancouver (October 12), and Victoria (October 13).
