La Jornada reports, “The Mexican Movement of People Affected by Dams and in Defense of Rivers (MAPDER) reported to the Permanent Peoples’ Tribunal (PPT) that more than 185,000 Mexicans have been displaced by dam construction promoted by the federal government. The PPT analyzed testimony and evidence presented by those affected by the construction of 12 reservoirs in seven states, during a pre-hearing meeting on November 5-7 in Temacapulín. …The findings of the jury will be presented at 8:30 am (today at) the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation.”
Barlow and the Tribunal enter the Supreme Court building this morning.
