Solidarity Fund supports Decolonize & Anti-Oppression Community Workshop Tour

The Council of Canadians Solidarity Fund has made a contribution to the 2014 Decolonize & Anti-Oppression Community Workshop Tour.

The tour is being organized by the Anti-Oppression Network, a grassroots collective based out of Vancouver which provides resources and training on anti-bullying/ anti-oppression and solidarity-building with indigenous people in Canada. Outside of the tour, throughout the year, they serve the Lower Mainland, interior BC, and central Alberta.

As noted on the poster promoting the tour, it features Tami Starlight, a Cree two spirited Elder from the Peguis Nation (Manitoba) who currently resides on occupied and unceded Coast Salish Territory (Vancouver).
