Vancouver-based Eldorado Gold is pursuing its Skouries project – a processing plant and open pit gold mine near the town of Ierissos in the Halkidiki peninsula of northern Greece – which is set to open by 2015. It is also seeking to open the Perama Hill mine in the Thrace region of Greece.
Three people from Greece will be visiting Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto and Vancouver to share information and their stories about why they oppose these mines.
