UPDATE: Purchase ‘The Rights of Nature’ book on-line

The book – The Rights of Nature: The Case for a Universal Declaration of the Rights of Mother Earth – can now be purchased on-line at canadians.org/rightsofnature.

The Council of Canadians and partners launched the book on April 21 in New York City and it can now be purchased through our website for $15 (tax, shipping and handling included). While buying the book, you can also make a donation to support our work and/or purchase a 1-year Council of Canadians’ membership for $45.

The Rights of Nature brings together the voices of acclaimed authors, progressive thinkers, political leaders and environmental and community activists from around the world (including Maude Barlow) who share their passion and insights about the Declaration, the Rights of Nature and the urgent need to recognize the unbreakable link between respecting ourselves and respecting the planet – Mother Earth – on which we all live and depend. The authors all reflect on the important question: What would our world look like if nature had rights?
