An incredible photo from this past Saturday of the canoe protest by Tsleil Waututh and Squamish First Nations in opposition to the twinning of the Kinder Morgan Trans Mountain pipeline that would carry tar sands bitumen to the West Coast and increase the number of tankers in the Burrard Inlet; it’s estimated about 300 tankers would be filled annually if the pipeline expansion is approved. Thank you to everyone who organized and participated in this protest, it has been inspiring to see photos of the day. And I’m so glad that Council of Canadians climate justice/ energy campaigner Maryam Adrangi was there to lend support and solidarity.
