Maude Barlow presenting keynote on water at Nobel Week Dialogue in Stockholm

MaudeThe Council of Canadians’ Honorary Chairperson Maude Barlow will be in Stockholm this Sunday for Water Matters, as part of the official Nobel Week programme.

WHAT: Maude Barlow will be delivering a keynote speech, as well as moderating a panel and speaking on another panel. The Nobel Week Dialogue is highlighting Barlow’s role in getting the human right to water recognized at the United Nations, which she will be speaking about at the event.

WHEN: Sunday, December 9, 2018, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (Central European Time) / 4:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. EST

WHERE: The events will be livestreamed at www.nobelprize.org and are taking place in the Stockholm City Conference Center, Barnhusgatan 12-14, 11123 Stockholm, Sweden.

Monday, December 10, is the awarding of all of the Nobel prizes except the Peace Prize, which is awarded separately at a later date. Every year, to mark the occasion, a “Dialogue” is held on a different subject with experts invited to speak, with this year’s events focussing on water.

Barlow will also be attending the award ceremony and the dinner on the December 10.
