Groundswell 2018, taking place next week on June 22 and 23, will highlight the power of communities in Ottawa, throughout Ontario, and across Canada to challenge the Trudeau government on its growing list of broken promises and build resistance to the agenda of Ontario’s new Premier Doug Ford.
WHAT: On June 22-23, Groundswell 2018: From Awareness to Action – the Council of Canadians annual conference – will bring together civil society groups, unions, Indigenous peoples and others to put forward a positive vision of a better tomorrow and to organize to make it happen.
GROUNDSWELL 2018 KEYNOTE PUBLIC FORUM

- AWARD RECIPIENTS: At the evening reception, the Council will present Beze and Vanessa Gray (Aamjiwnaang and Sarnia Against Pipelines) with Activists of the Year Award and Peterborough Council of Canadians chapter activist Roy Brady will receive the Maude Barlow Founders Award. Ecology Ottawa will also receive a System Change award at lunch on June 23.
