Join the fight to win public, universal pharmacare in Canada
Millions of people in Canada can’t afford to take their prescribed medications. The Council of Canadians is fighting for public, universal comprehensive pharmacare to make medicines available to people who need them free of charge, and push back against pharmaceutical and insurance industry power that has kept drug prices so high for so long.
This video features Rebecca Redmond, a distant relative of Dr. Frederick Banting, the discoverer of insulin. Banting dreamed of a world where insulin would be available for all. Redmond has been living with Type 1 Diabetes for nearly 25 years.
Will you join us in the fight for pharmacare?
The Council of Canadians is sustained by the generous donations of people like you! We operate without a penny of corporate or government money. This independence allows us to be direct and uncompromising in our advocacy for people, the planet, and our democracy.
