National campaign launch: Getting from the Canada We’ve Got to the Canada We Want (RECORDING)

The chaos unleashed by Trump’s tariff threats has scrambled everyone’s political predictions.

Pierre Poilievre’s Conservatives still lead in the polls, but all bets are off about what the ultimate outcome of the next federal election will be. That makes what we do in the coming months all the more important.

On March 4, 2025, Council supporters and members gathered online to discuss building our movement, our plans for the federal election and beyond. We shared ideas on how we can gather our forces, rally our allies, and build a movement to win the Canada we want.

This campaign is the fruit of many discussions we’ve had since October 22, when more than 800 of us gathered for a lively national conversation on how we build people power to take on corporate greed. Our panelists laid out the urgent stakes of the moment we’re living in, but they also powerfully reminded us that when we come together in struggle, we can win.

We are all hungry for spaces where we can collectively make sense of the situation and plan together for a grassroots fightback against the corporate agenda – and the politicians, like Poilievre, who do their bidding. This is what our campaign will do.
