Laura Borealis/ Tar Sands Blockade
Today is the 25th day of Tar Sands Blockade actions against the construction of the Keystone XL pipeline near Winnsboro, Texas. The Council of Canadians fully supports this blockade. News reports this week indicate that efforts to get water and food to the activists in the trees have been blocked by police and TransCanada’s hired security. This is unacceptable and we see it as a violation of their UN recognized right to water. To find out how you can support the blockade, please go to http://tarsandsblockade.org.
